Romanno Royal Talk by Stanley Grange Royal Appointment out of Radway Small Talk made her 2007 show debut by winning the Supreme Arab Championship, Part bred youngstock arab championship and reserve riding pony youngstock championship, superbly produced by Jerome Harforth and excellant show team.
Rotherwood Flamenco by Rotherwood Peter Pan out of Rotherwood Pirouette was Reserve Supreme Overall Arab Champion. Shown and produced by Romanno Stud.
Bradmore Swansong by Sandbourne Royal Ensign out of Fabdens Chit Chat was reserve part bred arab youngstock champion. Shown and produced by Romanno Stud.
West More Destiny by Broadstone West Country out of Astra, bred and shown by Laura McArthur, Isle Of Bute - Overall Hunter Pony Champion and winner of the CUDDY SUPREME IN HAND CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER. This yearling filly has also notched up the hunter breeding championship at Drymen and reserve championship at Ayr this year.

NEW SHOW BROOD MARE JOINS THE STUD
Rotherwood Flamenco, the outstanding former Reserve Supreme HOYS Cuddy Finalist, by Rotherwood Peter Pan out of the supreb mare Rotherwood Pirouette, has joined the stud as our new show brood mare. This mare has had the most superb inhand youngstock and ridden career and will be a definate assett to the stud. NEW PERFORMANCE MARE JOINS THE STUD
We would like to thank Anja Gremmert, Germany for allowing us to purchase the elite and verband premium brood mare Deliah G. This mare carries some of the best blood lines found in Germany today. By the fabulous Rubenstein out of a mare by the undisputed Oldenburg former leading stallion Donnerhall. The very influential and sought after PIK BUBE is found directly in the grand dams line. This mare has only ever produced Oldenburg premium foals and most have been sold at the Oldenburg Elite foal auctions. Buyers of her foals include the BlueHors stud in Denmark. Deliah G has recently produced a stunning brown filly foal by the Grand Prix , former leading WBFSH leading dressage sire Lingh, now based in the USA. This is one of the first foals to be born in Great Britain by this outstanding stallion. Please see Sports Brood Mare section for further details on this mare. |

Nantcol Sylphide (Knowle Wagtail x Nantcol Lady Julia), the multi supreme leading rein champion has now joined the Romanno Stud to commence her brood mare career in 2007. This fabulous pony was a favourite of many children on the show circuit, with her good looks, movement and trustablitiy with children on board she was renowned throughout the showing circuit. Not many championships evaded her and with her splendid blood lines will be an asset in producing wonderfull childrens ponies. She will be covered by the studs wonderful stallion Deanhills Royal Portrait in 2007. Portrait himself is proving to be an excellant sire of small childerns ponies, having 4 qualified for the RIHS 2006 and 2 qualified for HOYS 2006.

Colbeach Sensation
It is with great delight that the stud announces that their fantastic mare, Colbeach Sensation is in foal to the studs wonderful stallion Deanhills Royal Portrait. The stud is overwhelmed at the number of enquires relating to any foals this mare may have and the happy occasion is due February 2007. We are sure that the foal will be HOYS material like both the parents!! |

The stud was very interested to read in a recent bulletin by Eurodressage (www.eurodressage.com) that the following 5 stallions were the only 5 stallions to have produced at least 5 graded/approved stallions sons who themselves competed at grand prix level in the dicipline of dressage. These stallions were Weltmeyer, Donnerhall, Warkant, Rubinstein and the dutch bred stallion Ferro.
The stud over the past few years have been very selective in choosing the stallions and mare lines in order to breed the highest standard of foals - the stud was very pleased in reading the above article as it proves the stud has invested in the best, proven lines - both the studs performance stallions are direct sons of Weltmeyer and Rubinstein (indeed Rubin Star N is the ONLY approved son of Rubinstein standing in Britian) and the stud has 2 direct daughters of Donnerhall and one of these, Donna Wenezia is not only a direct daughter of Donnerhall her dam is by Warkant!! - her recent stunning filly thus has 3 out of the 5 mentioned stallions directly in her blood - being by Rubin Star N, she is Rubinstein x Donnerhall x Warkant and from her very impressive paces the breeding has definately been no accident.

ROMANNO STUD has great pleasure in announcing the recent purchase of the Supreme Champion stallion Deanhills Royal Portrait from his owner/breeder Robert Cockram. Portrait is one of the countrys most influential pony stallions todate, sired by the renowned Sandbourne Royal Ensign.
He has progeny world wide including his son, the Supreme champion Bradmore Toy Soldier (now in Australia). The stud has also purchased the very influential mare Rosslyn Sweet Fun (dam of many HOYS finalists including Rosslyn Sweet Repose and Deanhills Great Expectations ), she is also the dam of the studs own champion mare Deanhills Silhouette.
Our gratefull thanks to Mr David Ross in Australia for allowing us the oppertunity to have the fabulous former Supreme HOYS in hand Champion Rosslyn Sweet Repose as a resident brood mare at the stud. Dam of the studs filly Falconhurst (Aus) Serenity.
None of these ponies need any introduction and will be a definate asset to our stud.
