Pony Mares

Romanno Pretty Lady combines fabulous breeding and stems from 2 ELITE parents. Her sire Boss Junior is an ELITE pony Hanover and ELITE SPSS stallion and was a PREMIUM stallion at his German licensing.

He is sire of numerous competition ponies, including some competing at FEI level. He has sired licensed sons, state premium mares and Premium foals. The dam Pretty Woman is a SPSS ELITE are and competed at FEI in dressage and represented BOTH Germany and Great Britain.

Romanno Pretty Lady won numerous in hand Championships as a yearling and also the coveted GOLD premium from the SPSS.

In 2018 she was the SPSS Reserve Supreme Mare Champion.

Mirage is a Hanoverian German Riding Pony who also gained the prestigious STER award from the KWPN on her assessment. Mirage is the maternal half sister to the studs stallion Boss Junior.

Mirage’s sire, Voyager, has won jumping and dressage classes up to level L and participated at the Bundeschampionships. In his first foal crop he produced the Reserve Champion of the Hanoverian Pony Stallion Licensing. His dam, SPS Mago, was the Champion mare of Cloppenburg. His sire, Valentino, is considered a Dutch foundation stallion.

Mirage’s dam, SPS Moonlight, won the class of the mares’ families at the National Mare Show in 1996. At this same show her daughter, Moonlight Girl, became Champion of the younger mares. Moonlight participated at the Bundeschampionships and has produced many licensed stallion sons and State Premium daughters. Moonlight’s sire, Night-Star I, won his Stallion Licensing and Stallion Performance Test and then became the Reserve Bundeschampion of the jumping ponies. At this time he was the most successful and desired stallion in Westphalia. He produced many licensed stallions, among them several licensing champions, including the European Champion, Nelusko. Many daughters were awarded the title of State Premium, and several were Champion or Reserve Champion of the Elite Mare Show in Westphalia. He was sold to Brazil where he has continued his career.

Mirage is the dam of Adonis, who is standing as a pony stallion in the USA . He is a champion stallion in the USA who is presently competing at open level in dressage. In 2012 he was the North American stallion testing pony champion. She is also the dam of Adonis’s FULL sister Mystique who was the SPSS Supreme mare Champion and is a multi champion in hand and under saddle. She is the dam of the SPSS graded stallion BRANDO and of the multi in hand show pony champion stallion Romanno Willow The Wisp and the champion show mare Romanno Miss Dior.

Mirage is the dam of the SPSS Supreme Youngstock/foal Champion Romanno Riverdance, sired by our stallion Stanley Grange Regal heights.

Mirage made a brief debut in 2013 to the show ring to show her versatility and on her debut outing was riding pony breeding champion and won the NPS silver Medal at Cumberland County Show. She was also the OVERALL arab & part bred arab champion at the same show.

This fabulous mare needs no introduction to the pony dressage world, as she has represented both Germany & Britain at FEI International level in pony dressage competitions before being retired to stud.

She has bred several foals to date and is proving to be a fabulous producer of top class sports foals. Her 2014 filly gained 9.02 at the BEF futurity evaluation and received the ELITE status. The foal then went on to be joint highest sport pony foal of the year. Her daughter Romanno Pretty Lady by the studs stallion Boss Junior gained a “gold” premium award from the SPSS at their evaluation of her. Romanno Pretty Lady is a multi in hand show champion. Pretty Woman III herself is a state premium mare and also an ELITE mare with the SPSS.

Pretty Woman lll derives from proven top bloodlines. Her sire is infamous, Black Boy, by Black Grannus who in turn was by the famous hanovarian stallion Grannus. Black Boy was the 1986 champion stallion and he then went on to be the reserve champion at the stallion performance testing. He has 18 approved breeding stallion sons and numerous champion mares. He had the most number of pony offspring to compete in the Bundeschampionat. The dams sire is the welsh B sire Compass by the well known stallion Whalton Copper Beech.

In 2018 Pretty Lady out of Pretty Woman and sired by Boss Junior was the SPSS Reserve Supreme Mare Champion.

Swan Song is a very correct mare with a fabulous temperament and lovely movement. She combines some of the best blood lines which have been proven through years of breeding to produce champion after champion.

Her sire is the renowned Sandbourne Royal Ensign sire of many top ridden and in hand champions at all the major shows including HOYS, RIHS, BSPS championship show etc. To name a few – the studs own stallions Deanhills Royal Portrait and Deanhills Royal Jubilee, both are 3/4 bred to Swan Song. The former HOYS Pony of the Year, the late Bradmore Catkin (full sister to Swan Song), Drayton Penny Royal, Glenmoss Juliet.

The dam Fabdens Chit Chat was unshown but her progeny are all champions and very sought after, they include the multi in hand supreme champion Bradmore Nutkin, dam of the studs stallions Deanhills Royal Portrait and Deanhills Royal Jubilee. Deanhills Fairystory, Deanhills Heavens Scent, Deanhills Benjamin etc. Other progeny of Fabdens Chit Chat include the full sisters to Swan Song – Bradmore Celebration (multi supreme in hand winner and Cuddy Finalist 2008), Bradmore Fabergé (multi in hand and saddle champion including former finalist at HOYS) The multi supreme in hand champions Bradmore Lalique, Deanhills Keepsake and Deanhills Temptation.

Swan Song has only ever been lightly shown by the stud but has won many in hand championships including – Reserve Cuddy Qualifier Midland Counties Show, Reserve Supreme Overall In hand Champion Royal Lancs Show, Champion Durham Country, Champion Cumberland Country, 2nd Reserve Champion Rivenhall Final, Reserve PBA youngstock champion Royal Highland Show and Overall In hand Breeding Champion Dalkeith Show. Swansong is proving to be a successful breeding mare who’s offspring are now champions both in hand and under saddle including Romanno Revelation and Romanno Valentino.

This mare is familiar to most people on the show circuit today. Her breeding is fabulous, by the late Rotherwood Peter Pan, sire of many top ponies including the former Supreme Cuddy Champion Greenbarrow Mr Smee.

Her dam a former multi champion, is the dam of many top ponies including the stallion Bradmore Royal Pennant and the full brothers to Flamenco, Rotherwood Pretentious and Rotherwood Precocious, both multi champions. Her grand dam the infamous Rotherwood Giselle again was a multi supreme show winner and the dam of the infamous Rotherwood Rhapsody.

Flamenco has had a fabulous in hand and ridden career. As a yearling she was the Reserve Supreme In hand Cuddy Finalist and multi champion in hand winner. Under saddle she was Supreme Champion Ponies UK Scotland, , Champion East of England, Welsh Championships, NPS, BSPS Summer Champions of Champions 2005 and 2nd HOYS 2004.

Flamenco again proved her worth by winning the Supreme Whiteside & Knowles 2007 In Hand Championship and the much coveted £1000 prize attached.

Flamenco was lightly sown in 2009 and continued her winning ways, notching up Supreme In hand at The Great Yorkshire Show & qualifying for the Cuddy In Hand at HOYS, Overall Supreme In hand at The Northern Horse Show and being placed 2nd at the final of the Cuddy Supreme at HOYS.

Flamenco was only shown at The Scottish Horse Show Golden Anniversary Show in 2010 where she took the overall riding pony breeding championship, overall Supreme In hand and qualified for the Cuddy Supreme In hand Championship at HOYS, where she was placed 8th.
Flamenco is proving to be a very successful brood mare. Her sons Romanno Highland Fling and Romanno Fandango have both been 2nd at HOYS and her daughter Romanno Quickstep was the 2015 BNFOTY Supreme Champion and has since then went on to win numerous supreme championships at shows throughout the country.

This very pretty mare has successfully competed under saddle qualifying for the RIHS but due to lack of jockey her full potential under saddle was never realised.

She is impeccably bred being by the late but much sought after sire Willowbay Symphony, sire of so many top riding ponies qualifying for HOYS and RIHS etc. Her dam Persian Blue and her grand dam Whalton Tortoiseshell are multi champion winners and are both proven brood mares producing top show ponies including Kitty Kelly, Blue Diamond, etc.

Courtland pussy willow is the direct half sister to the multi champion and supreme champion Topcat, supreme NPS robertson/brown champion 2006 and reserve supreme cuddy breeders champion 2006.
Some successful progeny by this mare are champions at county shows, Part Bred Arab Male Champion at the British Arab Championship Show and also competing at BSJA showj umping, these including Romanno Cresanto, Romanno Evening Primrose & Romanno Royal Catkin and Romanno Forget Me Not.

This outstanding mare is the result of the studs foundation breeding on both the sire and dams side. Her sire needs no introduction as one of the country’s consistent producers of HOYS, RI & sport ponies which earned him the NPS Young Stallion of the Year winner twice.

Her dam Radway Small Talk was a HOYS in hand finalist as a youngster and also numerous times as a brood mare. She won many supreme championships under saddle and indeed was HOYS ISRT Champion. Romanno Small Talk was only ever shown lightly both in hand and under saddle but won numerous shows and championships throughout the country.  She has been successfully graded as a breeding mare with the SPSS. Her full brother has been retained as a future stallion with the stud, being the last ever foal from this outstanding mare.

Romanno Small Talk is already proving her self as a good broodmare, her foal by Boss Junior, Romanno Small Talk II was awarded a GOLD premium at the 2018 SPSS evaluation.

Wonderful home bred mare who combines both pony and horse dressage breeding – her sire is the studs very successful sire Stanley Grange Regal Heights and her dam was a successful breeding mare with the best of dressage breeding – Rubinstein x Donnerhall X Pik Bube.

She produced several successful competiion horses and an approved breeding stallion. She stems from a succesful dam line . This young mare was very lightly shown with success – Champion Sports pony Scottish Horse Show, Champion Scottish All Welsh and 2nd in a very large class at the Royal Highland Show. She was Reserve Champion mare at the SPSS Scottish mare grading 2017.   In 2018 she was Champion in hand sport pony at the Scottish Horse Show.

She will be a great mare for producing both sport and show ponies.

Her grand dam on the sire side was the very successful 3 times HOYS winner and reserve champion Colbeach Sensation.

This mare was lightly shown – Champion Scottish All Welsh, Reserve Champion Scottish Horse and Reserve Champion Border Union.

She has been successfully graded as a breeding mare with the SPSS.
